This one is very simple and will only take about 35 minutes to make. I have a vegetable garden and grow massive zucchini but my wife never knows what to do with all of them. You can only make so many before you tired of them. I notice if you buy them at any produce store they are not good and half the size. Below you will find a simple way to help with your p90x results. I always think the food is never enough so typically I will add a few sides. Brown rice and a small salad with oil and vinegar. Remember that celebrities get in good shape because they can pay someone to eat healthy but if your not filthy rich I would assume you try the meal out below. I didn’t put amount for each because it is all based on preference and how much you really want. Please let me know your thoughts.

Shrimp and Vegetable Medley!

Ingredients:

1 to 3 lbs. shrimp, cleaned. Broccoli, Summer squash, Zucchini, Mushrooms, Cherry tomatoes, 2 tbsp.

butter, Throwaway lasagna pan

Instructions:

Cut vegetables into bite-size pieces. Put .shrimp, vegetables, butter, a dash of salt and pepper into pans. Cover with tinfoil double. Put on low grill with cover down. Cook about 35 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

You don’t have to shell out the big bucks at Godiva® to make it a romantic evening with your sweetie. All you need is a microwave (or a double boiler), some dark chocolate (70% to 85% cacao solids), some strawberries, and some love. And if there’s a better way to show your love than with these two great sources of antioxidants, I’d like to hear it. In fact, if you’re single, this is a much better way to love yourself than with that pint of Ben and Jerry’s®

1 dark chocolate bar (3 oz.), 70% to 85% cacao solids(Not Cheap but worth it)

1 pint large strawberries (about a dozen)

Microwave chocolate in microwave-safe bowl, or melt in double boiler on stove. Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip in melted chocolate to lightly coat. Set aside on plate or wax paper to cool. When chocolate has hardened, serve (or if you can’t wait, dip and eat, and call it chocolate fondue!). Serves 2.

It’s weird because I don’t feel guilty when I know that I’m getting a good amount of protein and fiber out of chocolate covered strawberries. Don’t eat these after 8 or 9 pm because it will sit in your stomach all night long. You will then have to get up and work extra hard at Ab Ripper X and Plyometrics. If your interested in more food recipes then check out my healthy meals page by clicking here. If your already in shape with P90X and are looking for another way of selling your results to others then check out the affiliate programthat Beachbody offers.

I have been getting a lot of feedback from my P90X healthy meals page so I am trying to update it more often. I have a really good idea that will taste great and also reminds me of my wonderful mother. In the summer my parents always have a garden and produce awesome green peppers. So being that my mom has always been creative with any food put in her hands she created a tasteful stuffed pepper. Now mom will not be preparing it like the recipe below because the one below is P90 approved. I just wanted to give her a little props for the idea since I would always go to town on like two of these in one sitting. If your going to make your own rice then use a good rice cooker because the consistency is so much better. My wife uses this one so I highly recommend because you can also steam vegetables in it. If your looking to get the six pack you have always dreamed of then eat foods like this and do lots of Ab Ripper X.

This recipe is always a crowd-pleaser especially when you put a wonderful salad together with oil and vinegar. If your really looking to go a little more on the healthier side then add turkey instead of ground beef. Stuffed peppers freeze well, too, so this is a good recipe to super size for future meals.

1 lb. ground beef, extra lean (less than 5 percent fat)

1 cup brown rice, cooked

2 cups tomato sauce( not prego or any other crap sauce from a jar)

1 cup onion, chopped

1 egg, beaten

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

6 green bell peppers

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut tops off peppers, and remove seeds and membranes. Mix all ingredients (except peppers) and stuff mixture into the bell peppers. Bake for 1 hour and serve! Serves 6 (although they’re pretty low cal, you could eat two easily).

Prep time: 10 minutes (more, if cooking rice from scratch)

So I was in a pinch today and sometimes I’m in a remote area where all there is to eat is a McDonald’s. Subway is now becoming a common fast food chain as well but every time I go in one I come out smelling like the whole place. I’m not going to make a huge list of fast food places and what to eat and what to avoid but help you make a few better decisions if you have to go here. It is usually 2 or 3 times a month that I need to grab a quick meal so after some soul searching I came up with a great tasting sandwich at McDonald’s. I mean who wouldn’t want to get a number 1 or a number 3 instead but half the battle is the strict diet. You want to know the pathetic thing here is 90% of you know what a number 1 and a number 3 are so kudos to McDonald’s for branding us. So the best option for you at MC’ds is a classic grilled chicken sandwich with no mayo and a side of BBQ sauce.

Mayo vs BBQ sauce- The reason why I recommend the Sauce is because there is zero fat compared to mayo that includes 50 calories of fat, 5 grams of total fat, 1 gram of SATURATED fat and 5 mg of cholesterol. There is a high intake of sodium in the BBQ sauce but nothing is ever going to be perfect.

Total intake of calories is 420 with BBQ sauce and 370 calories if you eat it plain. If you can stomach just the bun, lettuce, tomato and chicken then go for it. Don’t get me wrong here because in total the sandwich packs a whopping 1100 mg’s of sodium and 4.5 grams of total fat but 32 grams of protein. When your building muscle and working out 6 days a week you should at least be eating half your weight in grams of protein but more for a better build. Once again I’m not telling you that this is as healthy as grilled your own chicken breast and slapping it on a bun but a good choice for emergencies. I had roughly 6-8 of these on the P90x program and I still got awesome results. If you want more fast food ideas then I suggest you google some other chains and make your best judgment. If you have all ready been doing P90x and people are starting to notice your results then look into the coach program as you can benefit from it
