I’m in a funk

By phattyfit On July 9, 2010 No Comments

Today is a day that everyone runs into.  A day of what I like to call FUNK! Whatever reason it may be it will happen and I am hear to tell you that it has happened to me several times and that is the joy of becoming fit again.  The hardest thing for any addict is to make a change and when change comes it is too easy to get back into that comfortable state.  I started Insanity 16 days ago and it’s hard as heck but no matter what I still push play.  The issue with me is that I have been extremely stressed out and my downfall is sweets.  I know some of you can relate with other downfalls but mine is chocolate and ice cream with all the fixings.  Ever since starting this journey of staying fit over a year ago I have been  focused on helping others while maintaining my slim look.  You will always achieve the best results when you go 110% and go all in.  That’s what I did, I gave up all my favorites like chocolate, ice cream, beer, pizza, bagels w/ cream cheese, etc.  I lost 28 pounds in June 2009 after going through P90X and thanks to

Insanity Fit Test

By phattyfit On June 29, 2010 No Comments

So I started the Insanity workout last week Monday the 21st and let me tell you that I’m impressed!  For those of you that don’t know about the program it is a 60 day solution to a better body.  The fit test is part of the day 1 workout and consists of 8 individual moves.  I have taken a picture to show you the moves but I will also put down my numbers and update accordingly.   Do as many reps as you can in one minute without stopping!

1. Switch Kicks – 40

2. Power Jacks – 45

3. Power Kness – 70

4. Power Jumps – 20 (By this point I was gasping for air so the numbers start to go down)

5. Globe Jumps – 11

6. Suicide Jumps – 12

7. Push Up Jacks – 20

8. Low Plank Oblique – 30

So the numbers are down and my next fit test is on day 15, then day 36, day 50 and day 63.  I will be updating them on this post so stay tuned for the next update.  Overall the workout is crazy intense but well worth the pain and sweat.  Recommended
