The biggest question that everyone asks me is the one above. Is P90X worth it? Lets break this down a little bit and figure out if a $200 or less investment is worth it. It’s always about cost and results, so lets keep it simple. When you see a workout program on television you automatically think it’s a gimmick! I tried all kinds of gimmicky things like the Ab Roller, the Total Gym, and so on. Is P90X a gimmick? NO. It has been around for ten plus years and worked on me and several million others. P90X belongs to a family owned company called Beachbody. They carry a fine line of products like Chalean Extreme, Insanity, RevAbs, etc. The issue is will you commit to 90 days with one of the best trainers in the business? See you can do any exercise program and it will work or they wouldn’t sell it. So if your looking for proof, look no further my results were amazing! So now that you have seen proof lets get back to the P90X program.

Everyone program guarantee’s results but not this quickly, effective and not this drastic. My answer to the question above is YES, its worth it. Why? Proven results in millions of people including myself and a proven method. So let’s break this program down and show you the true value.

You can compare this program to any other one out there but if you want fast results then pick P90X or another Beachbody program.

For under $200 you will get the best trainer right in the comfort of you’re home. No driving to the gym, workout on you’re schedule, workout as little as 1 hour /day. Let me tell you that the program is not the easiest thing you will ever do and most likely the it will be the hardest thing you will ever do. This program is for the person that wants to make an extreme change. I always laugh when I tell people they should be in ”decent shape” for P90X because even if your in the best shape of you’re life you will struggle when you start this program. The biggest reason why is because it is based around muscle confusion. You will work muscles that you never even heard of. You will have to push through the pain everyday, 6 days a week for 90 days! Doing workouts like Kenpo, Yoga and Plyometrics that will target every part of you’re body. Every four weeks Tony Horton will work your body like no one else and as soon as you think its getting easy he switches it on you. Every 4 weeks is different and another reason why P90X is worth it. It is a 3 phase program and the breaking point is you’re first 30 days. For 30 days you will not see any results and neither will anyone else. Did you put that extra 30 plus pounds on in 30 days or 3 years? Exactly! So be patient and follow the program. Im convinced I want to buy P90X!

If you were handed a blue print to becoming rich in 3 years and that blue print 100% guaranteed that you would be rich, wouldn’t you follow it?

The same goes for P90X or any other Beachbody program. Follow and you will succeed guaranteed! Is P90X worth it to someone that is going to buy it and start it in a few weeks. NO! Keep making excuses people all those fatty foods will be in you’re face everywhere you go. Keep telling yourself this, that in 90 days I could be in the best shape EVER! Is P90X worth it? YES. If you’re convinced then lets talk about you’re investment.

It’s worth it so you’re options are to invest with a trusted beachbody coach like myself. I’m not going anywhere and have been doing this for almost 2 years. We are in this together and as soon as you purchase you will have me at you’re fingertips for any questions. So now I would like you to click on one of the options below and get ready for a lifetime opportunity. Good Luck!

Lately I have been fielding lots of questions about which Beachbody exercise program people should do so I am here to tell you the differences of the two most popular. The main items I will cover are level of difficulty, number of days, cost, results, and which one is my favorite.

Level of difficulty

P90x is super hard for the first 30 days and after that it starts to become easier. Your doing things to your body that you haven’t done since high school.(unless your still in high school) Things like pull ups, squats, Yoga, Kenpo X, plyometrics and the list can go on but I think anyone can do this program. It’s all in your head! On a scale of 1 – 10 and 10 being the highest I would say for first timers a 10 but after at least one round you would rate it an 8.

Insanity is super hard as well but a different degree of difficulty. See the main difference is that you don’t need any extra equipment like P90x. P90x requires items like a pull up bar an weights but Insanity requires you! It’s no walk in the park because it’s packed with plyometric drills and nonstop intervals of strength, power, resistance, and ab/core training moves. The issue isn’t wether or not you can do this program but do you have the will to do it!

Number Of Days and Time

The amount of days is obviously 90 days for P90x and Insanity is only 60 days long. The biggest factor for me was the time and how long the workouts were. For P90X it is 90 days of working out with one day off each week. So if you start on a Monday then your days off will be Sundays so keep it in mind before you start. Insanity is the same besides 60 days otherwise you’re still working out 6 days per week. Now the other big question is how long are the videos? Now that’s where I think results vary between the two programs. P90x is approximately 1 hour per day and every other day 1 hour and 15 minutes. Insanity is approximately 45 minutes each day so if time is a huge factor then jump on the Insanity band wagon.

Cost

Everyone always thinks that these workouts are so expensive and yes I get times are tough but you can’t put a price on health. If you continue to not exercise and not eat healthy meals then you will eventually end up taking medications for diabetes, hypertension and cholesterol. So below I will list the cost of each and the deals to save you money!

P90X- The dvd set $120.00 All you get is the dvd’s, guides, nutrition plan

P90X- The results package $239.00 You get the pull up bar, bands, dvd’s, recovery drink (save $70)

Insanity- The dvd set $120.00You get the dvd’s, guides, nutrition plan

Insanity-The results package $239.00 You get the dvd’s, 3 bonus workouts, 2 months of the recovery

Results

You’re results will vary depending on body shape, size, goals and diet. I think if you want more tone muscle and less body fat then do the P90x program. You will show more muscle definition then Insanity. If you want to look more lean then do the Insanity program. You will shed more weight faster because your not lifting weights and we know that muscle weighs more than fat.

My favorite

I am going to be totally honest and say based on my results I would have to choose P90X for several reasons. I want a more tone look and P90X will offer that more over Insanity. You will not gain big muscles with Insanity but you will look more slim. Thin is in so don’t be afraid to try it. I just ordered mine and will be starting after I get back from meeting Tony Horton and several other trainers in LA. I will be mixing it with P90X because I would like to continue to build muscle. If you would like to be an active member with Beachbody then look into the coach program.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

You don’t have to shell out the big bucks at Godiva® to make it a romantic evening with your sweetie. All you need is a microwave (or a double boiler), some dark chocolate (70% to 85% cacao solids), some strawberries, and some love. And if there’s a better way to show your love than with these two great sources of antioxidants, I’d like to hear it. In fact, if you’re single, this is a much better way to love yourself than with that pint of Ben and Jerry’s®

1 dark chocolate bar (3 oz.), 70% to 85% cacao solids(Not Cheap but worth it)

Microwave chocolate in microwave-safe bowl, or melt in double boiler on stove. Holding the strawberry by the stem, dip in melted chocolate to lightly coat. Set aside on plate or wax paper to cool. When chocolate has hardened, serve (or if you can’t wait, dip and eat, and call it chocolate fondue!). Serves 2.

This is a the most fun I have had in a workout since Kenpo X but that’s only if you like jumping. The video consists of almost 1 hour of non stop cardio jumping. A lot of people always ask me if you can get hurt doing P90x and I say no unless you don’t stretch properly. You can get hurt doing anything but I guess this would be the workout out of all the DvD’s. In this workout you will need nothing besides a lot more room than usually needed and 8 ft ceilings. No weights, no bands, no pull up bar! I always loved this workout because I play soccer and man does it get your legs ready for running. After about a 6 minutes stretch your flight begins and doesn’t stop for 45 minutes straight.

Consisting of more than 30 explosive, high-intensity jumping moves, this effective cardio routine has been proven to dramatically improve athletic performance. Also known as the “jump training” workout, the P90X Plyometrics routine will push you to your limits and beyond.

Tony starts you off slow by doing several squats and several combination’s of squats. The fun begins when you start twisting and turning and jumping as high as possible. Did I mention one the guys working out in the video has a prosthetic leg!

Exercises during this workout include: Jump Squats, Run-stance Squats, Airborne Heisman, Swing Kick, Squat Reach Jump, Run-stance Squat Switch Pick-up, Double Airborne Heisman, Circle Run, Jump Knee Tucks, Mary Katherine Lunges, Leapfrog Squats, Twist Combo, Rock Star Hop, Gap Jump, Squat Jacks, Military March, Run Squat 180 Jump Switch, Lateral Leapfrog Squats, Monster Truck Tires, Hot Foot, Pitch & Catch, Jump Shot, Football Hero

Conclusion

Unless you are already used to high intensity cardiovascular training, the P90X Plyometrics program is going to be an extreme challenge for you the first few times you go through it. Even if you regularly do other types of cardiovascular training, this workout is very intense, and very challenging.

Once you start to get used to it, and build up your strength and endurance, you can still easily crank the intensity right back up by jumping higher or farther, and/or by speeding up the repetitions of the exercises.

Don’t kill yourself the first time out when you do this workout, but DO give it everything that you’ve got on an on-going basis. This one workout alone will probably burn more calories and do more for your cardiovascular fitness than any other workout that most people have ever been exposed to.

If you still can’t decide check out the free account to learn more. If you have been doing P90x and would like a little help with meals then click here. If you have completed P90x and would like to know what to do next well how about making some extra cash with your results.

I have two more weeks to go and my second time through P90x will be completed. Here is what I did for workouts and a few examples of how they were.

9-21

Chest, shoulders and Triceps

This workout is probably my second favorite because it gives you the best upper body workout. I wont be able to explain every exercise in detail so click above for that but all I can say is lots of push ups. Make sure you have a recovery drink after and a protein shake for lunch. Don’t forget Ab Ripper X.

9-22

Plyometrics

I used to dislike this one cause there was lots of jumping but now I use it as a way to entertain my daughter. In this workout you do an exercise called jump knee tuck. Its the hardest thing I have ever done. Try jumping in place but the object is to hit your hands with the top of your knees. Its super difficult but you sweat like hell.

9-23

Back & Biceps

If you are not good at pull ups then look no further. You will get good at doing pull ups and curls in this workout. I used to be able to only do like 1 pull up and now the second time through P90X I can now do almost 13 in a row. My resultshave been awesome since and my upper body strength is fantastic. Don’t forget to do your Ab Ripper X as well.

9-24

YogaX

All I can say here is that Yoga X has made me incredibly flexible and actually helps with any soreness your having. I actually showed my father in law and few of these moves because he has had a sore back all his life. He was truly impressed with my knowledge as well as the fact that the pain started going away. He pretty much got bored with his exercises and his body got used to the movements that it wasn’t doing anything for him. Another great reason to look at the coaching opportunity. If you practice and help other why not benefit from it.

9-25

Legs & Back

I will have to admit that I have skipped this workout a few times and finally did it this week. I will never do that again because I was sore for 3 days after. Wall squats for 90 seconds and then wall squats with one leg in the air. Pretty intense if you ask me. Recovery drink is a for sure after this workout. Oh and don’t forget Ab Ripper X. I can now do the last workout with my legs in the air and get through 40 leg raises.

9-26

Kenpo X

I will be writing more in depth about this workout because its so enjoyable. Lots of action with punches and kicks. The best part is the end or the sports bonus. 3 different moves and 3 different sports. Basketball, football, baseball. I also was throwing my brother a Bach party today. It consisted of limo bus, casino and the bars. We got home at 6 am. OUCH!

9-27

REST DAY. Thank God for this rest day as I didn’t move from the couch. Bach party was fun but man I am paying for it. Yes my wife hated me but expected me to be worthless today. I want to encourage anyone reading that they should look into the free account that beach body gives you. It has a similar look to face book but not as intense. If you intend on buying anything now or in the future then consider becoming a coach. Why? Well make money and a sweet discount for you.

9-14

Chest and Back- I can’t tell you enough how much I love this workout. Today I had a lot on my mind. Tomorrow my wife is one week over due with our second and the anticipation is killing me. I still managed to do Ab Ripper and the huge amounts of pull ups and push ups.

9-15

Plyometrics-I had to change this workout from morning to after work. There is so much jumping that I wake up my wife when I do this workout. I really dislike Rock start hops for some reason but the sports bonus is kick a$$. You fake throw a baseball 20 times, fake throw a jump shot 20 times and you fake jump tires like a football player does in practice. Cheesy but effective. We also found out that they are inducing on Friday! Oh Yeah

9-16

Shoulder and Arms-I now can focus on working out again as the scheduling is now in place for Friday. This workout is a great way to distress. Lots of lifting so make sure you have plenty of different dumbbells laying around. Don’t forget your Abs. AB Ripper X for 15 minutes

9-17

Yoga X-This is what connects everything together so don’t miss this workout. If you can do the full hr and a half then you are golden for the rest of the DVDs. Don’t forget to have a mat and block. We are going in at 3am to induce so I had to make this one count.

9-18

Baby Boy is born. Yes we were surprised and I jumped higher than the bed when we found out. Good thing I did Plyometrics! We welcome Nico Rosario Licari to the world. My life is complete as I have a wonderful family to take care of. Good thing I have had such great results. I’m in top shape and healthy. Legs and Back Skipped!

9-19

Kenpo X-Lots of kicking and punching so get ready to get your aggression out. The easiest workout for me and quickest. Only 50 minutes long. Do not forget to take your recovery drink as it will help get back lost energy and nutrients.

9-20

REST DAY! We can bring home the new baby and my wife from the hospital. Oh did I mention a lazy day of football.

This is my last week of this set of workouts and then I enter my final 4 weeks of P90X. Starting next week I will be in my recovery week where the program allows you to recover from any soreness you may have.

8-31

Chest, shoulders and triceps.

This is still my favorite workout since I started P90x because it just tightens your upper body up so much. I can now do 3 one arm push ups on each side. The heaviest dumbbells I use for this workout is about 20lbs. Always keep a 5, 10, 15lb dumbbell around because the closer you get to the end the harder it is to keep up with the heavier weights. Don’t forget your Ab Ripper X when your done.

9-1

Plyometrics.

I now can say that this workout is getting easier. The sports bonuses the best. I can keep up with every exercise and not be gasping for air. I did this workout as my wife Lisa was feeding our little girl and she was just looking at me so funny. She would look at me with this look of confusion wondering why daddy wont stop jumping like a monkey. The best part was I got a hell of a workout and she ate all her food. Try it for entertainment purposes!

9-2

Back & Biceps.

This workout is all pull ups and curls. I couldn’t even do one pull up when I started in May and now I can do 15 pull ups without stopping. I think my wife is impressed too. This one isn’t my favorite but man do the pull ups never stop. Use a chair as it will help you with range of motion. Ab Ripper X to follow so don’t forget!

9-3

Yoga X

Now I hate how long this dvd is but I can do things after Yoga X that I never thought I could do. 1 hour and 30 min of Yoga is not easy but if you just stay focused and concentrate you will eventually fall in love with it. It tests your balance, flexibility and strength. I have never dripped sweat by stretching before but I can see why men don’t like Yoga. I recommend a Yoga block and mat as it has helped me out. Also do this one at night because you will sleep like a baby.

9-4

Legs & Back

I enjoy this workout simply because its not as difficult as the others. My legs have always been strong so I still get the back workout. Lots of pull ups here as well so make sure you have a chair handy. Soccer is in two weeks so I should be prepared. Even at 30 I still feel that I can play with the youngins. Ab Ripper to follow

9-5

Kenpo X

If there is one workout you have to miss don’t let it be this one because its FUN! I cant tell you how much I love this dvd. The punching, kicking and blocking that makes you break out into this sweat. The ending is the best because you get into a horse stance and punch 150 times as fast as you can and then its all over. I will also be watching lots of college football. FINALLY

9-6

REST DAY!

One more week until NFL kicks off! Today Im going to make sure my girls(daughter and wife) have there bags packed because baby #2 is due any day now. Is it a BOY or a GIRL? Filp a coin becuase we dont know either.
